We're back with the final episode of the France IA game! We all know the Gauls under Vercingetorix are going to win, but who will be the last to retain a capital? The Anglo-Saxons have 2 and the Visigoths have 3, while the Iberians have none. As for votes, the Gauls received 12, the Iberians 3, the Anglo-Saxons 1, and the Visigoths none, so that's nice to know.

Anyway, as of this list, it has been 51 turns since the great Gallo-Visigothic War of Even More Domination, so we'll look at the score and military stats as a reminder before Permanent World War is declared, because we came here to see brimstone and hellfire!
Here's the military, where it'll simply be a matter of time before all those who oppose Vercingetorix will crumble!
And here are the scores that back up those militaries.
World War has been declared and we start the popcorn machine. All peace treaties will be completely ignored, with war redeclared on the same turn. Giving cities away will be a mistake, and will suck for the one who gives them away. Now on to the show!
Immediately Biscarosse is nuked, and Tarbes falls to yellow.
The Anglo-Saxons have units down here, maybe they'll be able to take the fight to the Iberians. I'd be surprised, considering those Visigothic forces.
In the north the Anglo-Saxon forces around Normandy are... Lacking, as the border is already overrun with Gauls.
Ars takes damage, as Alaric wonders how to effectively use his nuclear submarines to do anything besides boost his naval score.
Tarbes and Monzon fall to yellow, while the Visigoths poke Logrono with a stick to see if it jiggles like jello. Verdict? Eh, not as much as jello, but more than mashed potatoes.
The Visigoths attack northwards, while the Gauls attack westwards. Seems like the Gauls are keeping track of the things that matter, like Burgos, the one-time capital of the Iberians.
See? Burgos falls to yellow almost immediately as the Iberian cities take no damage at all.
Monzon fall to the Gallic invaders, and the rest of the Visigothic 'core' is taking damage from all sides.
The Gauls are pulling a Normandy and invading Dover from the mainland.
Dreux is taking damage from the Gauls, Ars-en-Re from the Visigoths, and Loudeac from the Anglo-Saxons, like a fun murdering triangle.
Ah, yes, the clear strategic necessity of capturing these one-tile island cities is obvious, Alfred your genius knows no bounds!
And then Laval falls to the Gauls, which is bad.
Tarbes will likely fall soon, and Biscarosse is still in the yellow and somehow not Gallic.
Dreux and Loudeac fall to the Gauls.
The Iberians are fine, thanks for asking.
What? Still? How has Tarbes not fallen? And Biscarosse either? At least Bayonne is taking damage...
Finally, Tarbes falls.
Look how glorious this is! For the first time in hundreds of turns Brittany and Normandy are connected!
I'm sure Dover will be fine, right guys?
And down goes Toulouse, the Visigothic capital! I'm surprised it lasted this long considering how exposed it was.
Even more glorious! St. Peter Port falls to the Anglo-Saxons, linking the two regions even more! Too bad Loudeac, and Vire, and Caen are all taking lots of damage and will likely fall within the next few turns.
Look at all those cities in the red that have yet to be taken by marauding Gallic forces... What the hell Vercingetorix? Iberia is still fine.
Finally Biscarosse and Saint-Sever fall.
Vire has fallen, and Caen and Lillebonne fall to yellow.
Loudeac has fallen as well, and Nantes is in the yellow. The fall of Nantes would be a rough blow for Alaric as it is where William of Normandy built the Red Fort many centuries ago.
But no, its not for this time, as Alaric and Vercingetorix make peace. Alaric gave every one of his cities except Nantes and Burgos to make peace.
Which sucks for him, because war is immediately redeclared.
Rostrenen falls, Lillebonne is in the red, and Dieppe is yellow.
Yes, make peace more.
That way I have to remake war even more *bloodthirstiness increases*

Lillebonne has fallen.
For some reason Alfred and Alaric made peace, which is cute. Dieppe has fallen.
As has Val-de-Reuil, and Beauvais is next.
Beauvais does fall, and the attack on Dover is still going nowhere.
I told myself earlier that I wouldn't capture flips, but Rostrenen is recaptured. Notice how L'Aigle hasn't taken any damage? Weird.
Burgos looks set to fall, and Iberia is still fine. Somehow.
There goes Caen, the ex-Norman capital. Only 3 more until this game is over.
And Nantes is next by the looks of it.
Burgos falls, so Nantes wasn't next. Wars are redeclared with the Iberians.
Alfred makes peace with Vercingetorix giving away Dover, Royal Turnbridge Well, Cherbourg, L'Aigle, and Nevez for peace.

Also, Alaric was eliminated. He did well, eliminating Andorra early on, followed by a northwards progression attacking the Centre, France, Brittany, and then westwards to get the Iberians. He was blocked in by the Gauls though and could never attain their level of empire.
Which was a mistake, as he kept the tip of Brittany... There goes your one advantage, your island.
Not like it matters anyway, as war is redeclared!
And they make peace the very next turn. No, seriously, check the turn count. I'll wait... ... ... You're back? Well there go the rest of Alfred's Breton holdings and Brighton.... Back to war you lazys!
Here's the full extent of the much diminished Anglo-Saxon Empire. Not long now.
Pechon falls to yellow 24 turns after World War is declared...
Winchester is in the yellow... The last capital... Grab it! Hurry, grab it!
Look, everyone has money!
Pechon falls! What will fall first? Winchester or Gijon?
Close race!
It was Winchester! And with this, the Gauls win the France IA game!
Winchester in its Gallic glory!
Here are the scores at the very end.
And the military scores. The Gauls didn't lose that much military during all that, as they rebuilt very quickly.
But you know who the real winner is? Napoleon, as he waits and watches for his next chance to revive the empire!

My next game will be an Iberian game featuring Spain and Portugal, and it'll come out eventually! Thanks for reading!
