Yo yo yo yo yo! You're reading the 13th part of the France IA game. If you're not here for that, you're in the wrong place, and you should probably leave. Just sayin'. Anyway, in a move that surprises no one, Vercingetorix takes first place in the strawpoll, with 9 votes, followed by 4 people who think they're being funny by voting for Anne. That won't last, I can promise you that.

Anyway, last part Vercingetorix decided that those Flemish folk were doing things against the way the world should be, so they declared war on them. Flanders isn't doing too well, and their army is kind of small.
Though over here everything is working out well for Flanders as the border between themselves and Gallia is wide.
Olen falls to the Gauls, as they continue their advance. This time its WWI and WWII German style: invade from the east until they reach the west. Crush all those between the two.
Hey look, its Blois v3 (or is it v4?). This is, so far, the purest essence of Blois (pronounced blwa, btw). The Bloisest. TheBloiyest. You know what I mean.
Vercingetorix is now nuclear capable, and has many paratroopers he could use to squish Flanders like a grape.
Here's the entire front that matters. Draw what conclusions you will, just know that Flanders is probably in trouble.
Anyone know how to do this? And then how to do this? I have no idea. Also, I'm having problems (as in, I can't, the button is gone/I forget where it is) looking at my great works in single player, care to help with that? Please?
Things go from bad to terrible for Robrecht as Alfred invades because free cities, amiright? This will be a good exercise in expansion for Alfred, his foothold on the continent can only get bigger with this conflict.
L'Aigle is already in yellow, as is Lillebonne.
Laon is too. Things are looking rather badly for Robrecht.
Brussels, IRL the capital of Belgium, is simply another city in this game. It is a large city though, for the purposes of this game. I'm fairly certain that Ghent is the largest in this game right now.
Laon falls, La Louvriere is in the yellow, and Brussels is in the red. All in all, a good turn for the Gauls.
L'Aigle is in the red too, though Lillebonne is only in the yellow.
Bad news for Alfred, as Alaric declares war on him. Alaric pushes towards Le Mans and St.-Hilaire, with the latter taking a lot of damage.
Brussels and La Louvriere look set to fall, which sucks for Robrecht. He still hasn't annexed those French cities he conquered which is simply bad empire management.
Alfred takes control of Lillebonne and L'Aigle, as Le Mans falls to yellow.
St.-Hilaire and Le Mans fall, though Le Mans will be burnt as Alaric doesn't seem to like 24 hour races. What a jerk.
Next up, Anglo-Saxon forces head to Dieppe. Hopefully this will go better than the Raid. :)
La Louvriere falls to the Gauls, though Brussels is still Flemish.
Alfred focuses his defenses in Nantes, Anne's old capital. Fairly certain she's still kicking around somewhere.
We can see the Flemish empire's two foes' armies on either side of this screenshot. Flanders is in trouble, which may be a bit of an understatement.
Brussels falls to the Gauls, as they keep pushing westward massacring any wayward Flemings in their way.
Alaric is in the information era, not that you'd know it considering their army is still mainly cavalry and lancers...
The Flanders sandwich is tasty, as Dieppe falls to red and Saint-Quentin to yellow. Ghent is fine though.
Laval is kept in the red by Alaric's air force, Alfred recaptures Le Mans because racing is awesome, and Nantes takes damage. The Visigothic air force is dominating the skies.
All of a sudden Paris has 0hp, as Dieppe and Saint-Quentin are in the red.
Alaric captures Nantes and recaptures Le Mans and burns it again.
Dieppe flips, as Vercingetorix's forces capture Paris and Saint-Quentin. Ghent is starting to take damage. Robrecht isn't putting up much of a struggle... Alfred and Alaric make peace, after a short skirmish in which Alaric captured Nantes.
Robrecht has seen enough, evidently, as he makes peace with Vercingetorix, bribing him with all of his remaining cities. Luckily for Alfred, he captured Dieppe before the peace deal.
This is all that remains of the county of Flanders. They're still at war with the Anglo-Saxons but I think they'll be fine until Vercingetorix decides to finish him off.
Here's the Gallo-Visigothic border. Still peaceful, which is boring.
Hey look Iberia! They still exist!
Vercingetorix has sent his heavy hitters to the front lines, though with Flanders isolated the front has moved elsewhere.
Iberia again! Alaric is amassing a large force around Burgos... What's he going to do with them?
See? Told you Anne was still wasting everyone's time.
Almost as much as Robrecht, who builds the Pentagon. Waste of a pentagonal building if you ask me.
Gauls be rich yo. ROBRECHT, WHY DID YOU BUY AN ARMY???
Alaric builds the CN Tower and has landships. Ever notice that the AI researches tanks last? They could have mobile infantry but still have landships...
Good to see Alfred resettling former French lands, the area was empty after Vercingetorix burned everything to the ground.
This looks like those things that are under people's feet in their houses, you know the fuzzy things. Oh yeah, rugs! No, no that's not it. Carpet! That's what it is!
The Anglo-Saxons ditch all pretenses and are now the ASSSR. Good for them, I'm sure England SSR, Brittany SSR, and Normandy SSR will band together and form something wonderful that won't collapse after 69 years.
Oh. Anne is gone. NOOOOOOOOO- ok, now that that's over with, its time for a eulogy.

Anne of Brittany only ever settled 4 or 5 cities up the Loire Valley, and none at all in Brittany, the land she actually ruled. If she had settled there, she might have stood a chance and we could have seen her cool UU, but she didn't and was eliminated after William took most of her empire. Next.
Still no war here, though Viriato could resettle his old cities if he chose. I probably would.
Alaric should build a better bigger military soon, Vercingetorix's is much bigger and better.
The Anglo-Visigothic is at peace, though there is much citadel warfare.
You can be called whatever you want mate, with that carpet I doubt anyone can stop you.
Yes, I suppose city-state is a better description of Flanders than county at this point. Anyway, more citadel warfare, this time by the Gauls. Poor Mamers.
At least someone has marines...
From landships to tanks. At least Alaric is building a carpet now.
And mechanised infantry. See what I mean about the mechanised infantry and tanks thing?
The Anglo-Saxons have helicopter gunships, and I experience multiple flashbacks of Buzzard carpets from the Borderlands AI game...
Alaric takes the fight back to Alfred, as Sarzeau takes damage as we look at Anne's Legacy: Nestorianism. Somehow it still exists.
Mamers takes damage, so does Rennes, and Sarzeau flips to the Visigoths.
Sarzeau flips back and Mamers is taken and set on fire.
Alfred pushes back towards Nantes as an Iberian sub watches on in the north.
Go Alfred! Send that army southwards and capture all the Visigothic reich!
Nantes is still Visigothic, as Viriato completes the Manhattan Project. They're now like North Korea, tiny but nuclear armed. Probably.
Sarzeau flips and the countryside around Nantes looks nasty. Laval is still damaged.
Sarzeau reflips, as the Anglo-Saxon offensive stalls.
And the war goes nuclear as Alfred nukes Chatellrault!
Vercingetorix has one pointy bayonet. Its too pointy to be a stick at this point.
Nantes and Loudac are nuked. Look at the lovely fallout! Oh yeah, Vercingetorix decides to finish off the Flemish!
Ghent, which I think is the world's largest city, takes some damage.
Nevez is nuked as the front grinds to a standstill. Hope you're ready for pillaged tiles, as this area remains that way for a while.
Ghent falls to yellow as Past Me ends this part here. Past Me sucks at choosing breaks for parts. Sorry about that.

Strawpoll: http://strawpoll.me/6675412
The Gauls have the combined score of the second and third place nations. Wow.
And a big ass military to boot.
Of course the irrelevant nations are friendly towards each other...
Many people.
And productions.
And damn those Gauls are freakin' happy.
Tech spread is growing but will shrink because only 80 techs to research.
