Hi you lot! You're about to read part 14 of the France IA game! Strawpoll results are similar to what they've been for a while: The Gauls lead with 10 votes, the next person to be eliminated (Robrecht) is in second with 5, followed by Viriato with 3, and Alfred and Alaric with 1 each.

We start this part off by noting that Vire has been nuked. I remember that because I put the cursor on the city name. Smart huh?
The Anglo-Saxons and Flemish make peace as Ghent falls to yellow under the Gallic onslaught. One down, one to go, right Robrecht?
Or not. Last slide Flanders still had some land units, and now they don't have as many... That lasted a long time.
Down here, the Visigoths are pushing towards Laval while both sides ignore the opening around Nantes. Alfred needs to get his army on location or he may start losing cities quickly.
Ghent falls to red, as Flanders Watch enters its third screenshot of this part.
Nantes was renuked, as the entire city of Rennes is packed into the bomb bay of a Lancaster bomber, which is convenient for escaping Visigothic hordes.
Flanders Watch special update! Ghent has fallen, and all that remains of Flanders are those two carriers, the sub, and the worker.
Here's a better look at Brittany. You can really see the damage that Alaric's nukes are doing. Also, Alfred still hasn't annexed Hirel... You'd think he'd do that but you'd be wrong.
Silly fascists. A carrier and a worker are all that remain of Flanders at this point.
Anglo-Saxon forces are pushed back as Alaric uses his XCOMs to take Sarzeau. They could take Laval if they were sent over there.
Alaric completes the Hubble Space Telescope and has an impressive carpet. I still see some cavalry units in there, but it'll be a tough force to kill.
In comparison, everything to the south of this image is completely carpeted.
Bourgueil has been nuked and somehow Laval still hasn't fallen to the Visigothic army.
Only a carrier left. Well, if its anything like a Nimitz class, 4.5 acres is still a decently large space to rule over. Robrecht is simply an Admiral instead of an emperor.
Those Anglo-Saxon missile cruisers look fun, don't they. Bet you're jealous Robrecht.
The Visigoths have captured Laval, and appear to have nuked Hirel. Nantes isn't looking too healthy. If it wasn't a capital it probably wouldn't exist anymore...
And Robrecht is finally gone.

Robrecht expanded well for someone in the northeastern portion of the map and knew when to declare war, as he helped eliminate the Franks and was there for the elimination of the French. He didn't make as many gains or settle as many cities as he could have, and was taken out by the Gauls. All in all, he didn't do badly.
Quimper has been nuked, as we return to the only active war in this game at the moment. Rennes is in the yellow, and it looks like Alaric has sent some XCOMs to bother Alfred between Caen and L'Aigle.
Hirel may fall to those XCOMs, but they'll need help if they plan on keeping that city. Alfred managed to recapture Laval and Rennes looks like it'll fall sooner rather than later.
Yup, Rennes is captured and torched by the Visigoths. Also, its a city now and not a Lancaster.
Laval too is captured and burnt. Vire is in the yellow, and its capture would split Normandy SSR from Brittany SSR.
Alfred is surprisingly behind in tech. He's constantly been a tech leader but doesn't have XCOMs. His countryside will suffer for it.
Hirel falls to the Visigoths, and splits the Anglo-Saxon empire into 3 parts.
Come on Alfred, what are you waiting for?
Vire falls to the Visigoths as well, and Loudeac looks set to fall as well. I feel bad for Dreux, so little land.
These are the only open spaces in all of Vercingetorix's empire... And his units are spilling over into the newly freed area. I'd be scared if I was against him.
Hi Viriato, who is still alive somehow... Visigothic units also spill out from their territory. I wonder which city is bigger, Ghent or Burgos?
The Great Gallic Wall of Units is in the way of Visigothic reinforcements. Lucky Alfred, you have an unintentional ally.
Now's your chance Alfred, retake Hirel and Vire while Vercingetorix has Alaric distracted!
Dieppe and Beauvais are under attack from Visigothic XCOMs. Could be problematic. Also, Burgos is the largest city in the world! Probably because Ghent was conquered this part and its been a while for Burgos.
Alfred retakes Vire as Nevez is nuked. Loudeac doesn't look safe for mere mortals. Cockroaches maybe, but not mortals.
This isn't a double, I think. Eh, Loudeac still stands.
Neither is this, as Hirel is retaken by the Anglo-Saxons.
Dieppe and Beauvais remain Anglo-Saxon for now.
Complete carpet status apparently achieved, good job Alaric.
Close, so close. Those are the last ununited spaces in all of Gallia.
All those units make my computer live in this city. Though, its not as bad as it could be from what I've read of everyone else's late game. My turns only took about 3 minutes each around this point in the game, and that's with 2 of the biggest unit carpets I've seen in an AI game.
Loudeac falls to the Visigoths, though it'll probably flip back as those Gallic units aren't moving.
Oh hey, this should be fun. Maybe. Alaric has seen Vercingetorix's massive unit carpet as a challenge, and declared war on him. Maybe something will happen, though it'll probably take a while to grind down the carpets enough for much progress.
Good thing those Gallic units were in the open space, should stretch Alaric's army out a bit to the north as well as to the east.
There isn't really a point to commenting the front, as its a meat grinder.
The Gallic fleet, however, appears lacking.
I think Chouppes was nuked. Vercingetorix takes Loudeac from the Visigoths and Alfred cries out of frustration.
Uh...
Well... Conques is taking damage?
Yeah, Chouppes was nuked. And so was Chatellerault.
And Avignon. No! The bridge! how will we dance on it???
Conques flipped, and the Visigoths rename themselves. Not that that will change anything.
Poitiers is next on the nuke block.
Most of the Visigothic presence has been eliminated from Brittany. I'm sure that Alfred is pleased.
Conques is taken again.

Feel free to go through these quickly, I'll point out if anything interesting happens.
Limoges is nuked.
Things are happening.
Nothing interesting here apparently.
General state of the border.
Gallic forces close in on northern Visigothic territory.
Sarzeau falls to the Gauls, and Nantes is under attack.
Nothing interesting here, move along.
Bourges, the ancient Centre capital was nuked, as was Gueret.
Iberian artillery looks on.
Langeac is nuked, Laguiole as well, and maybe Avignon is renuked.
The status quo still exists.
Cahors is nuked.
Remember this colony? Apparently neither does Vercingetorix. We'll end this part here on that note of not-remembering.

(Go to the last slide for a shocking new statistic)

Stawpoll: http://strawpoll.me/6737797
The Visigoths should make peace with the Anglo-Saxons and convince them to attack the Gauls. Iberia too for shiggles.
Such massive militaries...
Good, good, let the distrust and hostility flow through you!
Damn there are a lot of Gauls.
And they're really productive.
And happy, what the hell.
This slide is becoming useless.
HOW THE F*CK???
