A war that will reshape the continent. Power against power, friend versus foe. Landscapes will be forever changed.
Britain knows not of this, however, as they stay on their island. Safe, but not for long.
France pushes deep into southern Germany, past their own defensive structures and into the unguarded mainland, like a knife into the stomach. One hundred thousand Germans form one army to overpower French opponents.
A war that shakes even empires. The Ottomans are being carved, having their Balkan possessions liberated.
While France is being gutted. Colonies for men, what a heavy price.
No colonies exist in Japan, simply a refusal to accept Japan.
Japan loves all of Asia.
Welcome brothers, to Japan proper.
KOREAN IS NOT ALLOWED, OBEY YOUR OVERLORDS
Conquest of Asia, as the world is waiting for the chance to fight. Spain with her Philippine possessions , while colonies, are to be sphered rather than seperated.
The German counterattack eliminated most mainland forces and push to Amiens and Paris. With a friendly port, British soldiers land to occupy Belgium.
One colonial power stripped of its army, a few more to go.
France stood little to no chance.
Too busy to actually keep their port under control, Manchurian separatists conquer the peninsula and claim independence from Russia. They will be open to attack again, so why not let Japan control it for now?
Control it from now, I mean.
"PEACE IN OUR TIME" claim some German journalists, as the Treaty of Frankfurt was signed. It ended the first Great war and harshly punished France for extending the war longer than it should have been. Russia and Belgium agree with French scholars that the treaty was too harsh on France, while British and German scholars are angered France was not dismantled enough.
Russia required funds to fight Poland, while her Allies fight to keep Russian lands Russian.
A modern battle fleet, capable of heavy firepower, speed, and maneuverability.
Our land forces require the same, but are constantly hindered by our own people.
Dissidence within the JSDF will not be tolerated.
Two tiers are created; an army and a force. The army is to have 60,000 while the force will be around 24-30,000.
Monarchs are too powerful for the common man, which is why the Defense initiative began. Death for those who rebel.
Defensive lines and attacking goals are important to lead our forces. Persia will be the defence to contain British forces.
4 armies will suffice for this task.
Southeast Asia will be an offensive force to drive British soldiers into our defensive lines, as well as eliminating British soldiers.
Japan is simply better in every way. We will prove this easily.
What a disgusting color over Asia.
We plan to wash it away.
The Thai Liberation Forces move to secure the main war goal.
Our allies in Europe agree and will handle the European theater. Little will we worry about reinforcements in the Raj.
Our Asian allies (plus Mexico for some reason) will help with our push.
One of our Liberation forces come under attack from British soldiers stationed in Malaysia.
Should we reinforce, the battle is surely to be won. They can barely overcome the terrain, let alone our iron will.
While reinforcements are on the way from the North, the British are staved off.
Weakened from an incredible defence, the British are massacred before the Phillipine Liberators.
Similar casualties, but we still reign victorious.
The weakened Thai Liberation Force stays behind while the other two armies go forward to eliminate the British presence.
Saigo once again defines himself as a man of action. Superior support and flanking devastates the enemy.
Steel for a will.
Continuous retreats are to end in Malacca, where the Thai Liberation Force are to finish the job.
While we reclaim the Kingdom's land, we push further into Pegu. Our forces and allies are engaged by more British.
The British divide the front line, separating our allies from us.
Our allies are gone from the fight and all firepower is focused against the frontline. Pegu will fall if left alone.
So reinforcements come to surround the now weakened opponent.
Casualties are heavy, but this is a war that must be fought. We must continue the push!
bad idea bad idea
The weakend armies are forced to retreat from the theatre
back to Bangkok
Our forces march into Singapore, which shall end any British control in the Malaysian peninsula.
More maneuvering and more reinforcements. The larger army we faced is no more.
wait what?
You are telling me you single handedly won the war? Without any reinforcements and with one army?
huh
Minami Takeaki and his army, the Baghdad Bombers, are awarded with the Chabahar Battle Medal.
Even our front lines are like steel, so finding some steel pole should be easy.
Taxes are looked at and are largely seen as unfair. A special office is created to balance the budget.

After a month, the new budget is created and accepted. Most are pleased.

Budget cuts.
Let the money flow!
The Imperial Navy scraps some older ships, seeing as they take up valuable resources for more advanced weaponry.
More ships are dismantled to allow for a comfortable resupply.

Navy cuts.
Gaze upon the empire and its vast army. Asia will be free.
Colonies don't exist in Japan. Men for Chubu.
Seeing the lack of rebellions, the government is further reformed, letting any and all speak what they wish in the press.
Some are worried that this may cause more rebels, so the JSDF budget is increased as well.
Don't worry, ships can't cross land. We can try again later.
The Chabahar Battle Medal is replaced with the Thai-British War Medal.
An uneasy peace descends upon Europe, as Poland and Romania grow, while Austria-Hungary and Russia weaken.
Africa is fully colonized. Red belongs on the ground, not over land.
Keep trying, keep trying.
Ships can go through land, so they should be able to do it.

In other news, the Panama canal is opened!
Another Mediterranean war, declared due to the weakness of the empire.
panama
The "colonial" army is reformed as we need more soldiers to fight for Asia.
keeep trying
Our spy returns with success, while another ship is blown to pieces. Portugal is blamed, but their colonies are of little importance when compared to the Lion's holdings.
Some guy forgets to use the toilet and everybody dies.
Little Boy is split into several smaller armies for transportation convenience and occupation efficiency.
The new century opens. Kyoto grows bigger and bigger, becoming one of the largest cities in the world.
Our people stay, the path forward lies here.
Europe has recognized Japan as a power, and Japan agrees to keep the status quo.
The Captain Of Köpenick is released, emphasizing the power of a uniform.
We too know this power.
