Part of the campaign:

Civ Hybrid Game Mk.VII

Welcome to the very first part of the Seventh Hybrid Games, narrated by yours truly! Coalition choices for Part 1 will be due on FRIDAY @ 0200 GMT and should be sent to /u/Aimerais, who will be Plotrunner for this Mark! There will be a global event released for everyone to consider in their submissions for Part 1.

If you're looking for rules or regulations to guide your choices and actions, or just some general info, please refere to the sidebar on reddit.com/r/CivHybridGames, where you can find the wiki and the very important format template for coalition submissions.
Here is a list of the mods in use for this game.
Egypt has a strong start in the Nile river basin. Will they be able to power themselves forward by outgrowing the rest of the Middle East?
Phoenicia begins at Tyre along the coast of the Mediterranean. Will their trading dominance allow them to dominate the Middle East?
Byzantium begins with control of the Hellespont. Tucked in the top left corner of the Middle East, will Justinian be able to spread his "Roman" control to the Middle East?
Georgia begins in a veritable fortress in their mountain home. Will this defensive position be a suitable staging point on their path to dominating the Middle East?
Babylon lies snug as a bug in a rug amidst the fertile floodplains of the Fertile Crescent. Will this amazing start be able to propel them forward into dominating the Middle East?
Oman lays at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, with all the hidden riches of the Arabian Peninsula scattered before them. Will they be able to seize their opportunities to lead the Middle East?
Cyrus begins in Pasargadae. How will this start propel them forward to victory?
On turn five we see the first of the settlements: Kuitasi.
On the same turn, Hadrianopolis is founded by Justinian.
Rounding up this turn, Oman settles Salalah on the shores of the Indian Ocean, securing their southern mountain pass from attack.
Merely one turn later, Sidon is founded to the north of Tyre.
We also see Akkad nestled between some wheat on the Fertile Crescent.
On turn ten, Phoenicia lives to their traditions by opening a trade route with the religious city-state of Jerusalem.
Egypt finally settles their second city at the mouth of the Nile! (This cancels the chance of a canal city, but if you ask nicely enough, we could make something work)
Georgia takes the religious lead with the founding of the first pantheons: Sun God. Sorry Egypt and Babylon, no bonus wheat resources for you!
So ends Part 0. A reminder that your actions are due to Aimerais in the wee hours of Friday morning, as he hopes to do plot running Thursday evenings (EST) so I can run the part Friday afternoons. Here's to a good mark!
