With the victory of Imperial Japan over the Great Entente, a combined military alliance of the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Austria-Hungary, and the Netherlands, it is time for the long trip home.

And some borders to be redrawn

Japanese civilians are upset that Japan did not conquer more, but there is little support for actual reforms.
The Coup de grâce. No longer shall Britain be an empire, but rather another nation state in Europe.
From Africa to Asia and America, their oversea possessions are seized and liberated.
Egypt was released as an independent nation while diplomats continue talks.
Islands in the Caribbean are seized.
With our hold over the peninsula, an independent state for the Malaysian people is proposed.
There will be some restrictions to their borders however.
Singapore is valuable port to the Japanese navy, and a contract with the Malaysian government is created to keep it.
A similar contract is made with Penang.

The Kingdom to the North is mildly displeased, but there is little they can do against liberators. Also the fact that we could erase them off the map should they decide Japan belongs on its island rather than protecting the Asian people.
Colonial management continued
With the newly created Pakistan, there are some border disputes.

We do not actually plan to go to war over this however.
We attend the Olympic games we helped establish.
The city of Hong Kong is placed under the Japanese protectorate over China.
Shanghai is also added.
With external tension being eased, the people clamor for reform rather than the static monarchy that has existed and granted Japan strength.

They are ignored.
Science and study has dramatically increased following the study of the military and has extended to other fields.
Our stay in Portugal was long, and our leave was overdue. The Portuguese tell us to leave and rescind military access.

We have no choice but to go.
With an independent Egypt, the people in Sudan anger for their own independence.
Conveniently, we have an entire army and fleet ready to be deployed.
We expect to finish by February.
Portugal, after Japanese troops have left, falls to revolutionaries and rebels.

fuck you
Rather than wasting manpower trying to tackle communists, small social reforms are passed to appease them.
oh god
please no
Panama experiences some difficulties.
The Egyptian Nationalist Party takes to the streets, sieging Japanese occupied forts.
Sweden takes a swing in taking Egypt, so the armies continue their push rather than immediately dealing with the rebels.
Egypt is put back under our rule.
This allows the borders of Africa to be cleaned and modernize the people.
Some are farther along than others.
The Ivory Coast is a modernize area, so they are released.
More borders drawn
More borders redrawn.
Some have more luck than others.
Some are smaller
Some are larger
Some are complex
Some are simple
And some are crazy
Whatever though, not like I care or anything.
Ports are updated
Railways are created
And alliances
are not accepted
And so begins a period of Détente of Japan against foreign aggressors. Since their colonies are untouched, and since they have little to no influence in Asia, Japan is content and they are content.
The Suez is open once again, hopefully appeasing European allies.
Some influence of the United Kingdom is leftover, so we attempt to remove it.
New Zealand offers us the olive branch, and we accept.
Burma, of course!
More reforms to appease the people.
Boys are loaded back on the boats.
We send missionaries to help the locals in Asia.
Antarctica is basically southern southern Asia, so we attempt to navigate it.
The ruthlessness of Japan has been checked by the long period of peace to soon envelop Asia and to an extent Europe.
Japan has asserted hegemony over its allies and its allies' allies.
India has been cleaned for the most part of Imperialist scourge.
Our plans have been completed almost too effectively.
Perhaps we push, or perhaps we settle.
