We start, not in the East, but rather the United St-Easts.

Through decade after decade of doing nothing, they managed to suck up every European that was tired of being European. Then they fought themselves. Then they went back to sucking up Europeans.

I'll get you bitch.
Here, the Caribbean. After the defeat of the United Kingdom, its various island possessions were seized and put under direct control of the Japanese government. Japan's faithful ally Mexico yearns for peace from its hardships, as the other war torn republics yearn for rest. May they be blessed.
The entire continent of South America has remained rather stable through the past 20 years, besides Guyana being granted independence from her British overlords. Brazil seeks to establish itself on the world stage or at the very least, the American stage.
Africa has been carved, mismanaged, and generally fucked over several times. In the northern area, the French hold mostly desert, as well as Italy, the Netherlands, and the Ottomans. We have the best parts of it however.

The Monarchy of Nigeria is a gem of African industrialization, having embraced the western ways after Japan liberated them from their oppressors.
In the southern part, it is much the same. Save the Japanese panhandle.
Europe is a different story. The once mighty empire of Austria became the weaker empire of Austro-Hungary and has since been torn asunder by Romania and Poland. Germany stands atop the rest and acts very much like the continental police, intervening in most affairs to establish either a status quo or a favorable treaty for her allies. Poland is the biggest winner, as they have achieved independence, most of their historical lands, a faithful ally (Germany), and enough power to liberate the rest of their claims. Usual Balkan Bananza in Eastern Europe.
Asia has been, for the most part, liberated from and protected against European imperialism. Pakistan aids us in helping the Indian minors achieve civilization (under the threat that should they stop, they will be brought back to tribalism by us). Burma has regained her land, Persia was Liberated™, and Qing got sQuashed.
The various islands of Indonesia are "shared" between the Netherlands and us. Indochina has been protected, while Australia and New Zealand have been liberated. Sadly, our colors are too similar.
Green-Us & Allies

Blue-Netherlands
The glorious nation of N I P (P O) N / Japan resides in Asia off the coast of China. Guanwi, Korea, and large swathes of coast belong under our rule.

Korea is currently undergoing Japanization.
The various islands of the Caribbean.
After The Great Emperor's War, we have been limited to what we can do militarily. A bunch of red numbers caused directly from war exhaustion.
A bunch of red indeed. A large portion of those communists aren't even Japanese!
Seeing the situation in Oceania, Australia asks for an alliance.

Not sure if they did before, but it can't hurt.
The Liberator Army has been resting in Putao for some time (a year in fact) and the time for them to come home is now. They depart for a Japanese port in southern China.
Our reserves have begun to fill to the brim and it would be best to put those men on the field. 9 new armies are to be created and the Imperial Japanese Navy is to be fixed up.
!CRISIS IN SOFIA!
The Ottomans request Japanese support in restoring lost lands. France immediately supports Bulgaria to keep the status quo.
Sadly, Japan is not a mere bitch and would gladly bring the fight to French shores. The other Great Powers do not intervene as they fear what Japan can do. France was hoping for this, but they have zero (read: 0) strong friends. French diplomats quickly remember what happened little over a year ago and cave to our demands.
damn straight
The red tide is high, but the red and white tide surges. A million men are ready to take up arms at once, and a million men are behind them.
To appease the masses, various social reforms are to be made. This will work well for the communists, but we may see a Jacobin insurgency.
Our boats aren't boaty enough.
The vast treasury has kept Japanese interests safe over the period of relaxing, so it can easily be rebuilt. The tariff is thus changed to 10% for all factories and civilians!
Cambodia has French support surprisingly, and requests Japanese support as well. Agreed.
After having their lands liberated from foreign oppressors, Indians decide to rise up and topple their government? Reactionaries are jerks.

Meanwhile the armed forces are organized.
New steamers pour in as well as regiments. This is a great undertaking: having a multi-ethnic army.
Our industry can certainly support such endeavors.
The first major army group is organized within Cairo, as other recruits take time to reach it.
211 ships set sail to organize the recruits into the Imperial Standard.
It will take a while.
Luang Prabang has fallen to rebels since they wouldn't give us access. meh
Canada offers us an alliance. Considering the plans of the high command, this is perfect.
Pyongang has been Japanized! Hurrah!
Ceylon's recruits gather toward the shore.
The main reason as to why a fifth of our nation wants to establish FULLY AUTOMATED LUXURY GAY COMMUNISM is primarily due to sanctions. Ironic that, should we fall to communism, the monarchs and republics of the world would sanction us.
Boats from China do what our ancestors could not: Bring Japanese troops from China to Japan, then back again.
this nation is literally desert
These weakened armies do not qualify as an Imperial Standard army, so they have been sent back from duty to replenish.
[While roaming the streets to find their way to HQ, two soldiers stumble upon a building named Akai bara. The soldiers look at the sign on the front of the building which indicated that it was a bar, and decide to go in. After having too much sake, they stumble out again and bump into a local police officer. They scuffle, and one of the soldiers unloads into the officer then runs off while several civilians call and search for help. The other soldier passes out from both drunkenness and fear. This incident quickly went throughout the entire nation on the news, with the author of the article calling for justice. The Jacobins saw a chance and used this as a cause to break the tight shackles of the Emperor. Many rallied to the cause and have taken to the streets.]
High command quickly orders the troops to be deployed over the country to deal with the revolt.
The two armies stationed in Pyongyang leave their forts to deal with the small peasant problem.
The forces stationed on the mainland deal with the bulk of the rebellion.
Nagoya is a prime target for the rebels, as there are fresh recruits within the barracks that can easily be killed.
Our oversea possessions see some action as well.
Newly recruited soldiers are deployed to Ceylon for live practice.
The Cairo army is sent to deal with the tribes.
The hussars are organized into a hunting unit, and are to go to one of the Indonesian islands.
The revolt is halved.
The majority of battles were easily won, as gas attack is too stronk.
Circling the entire island ensures that no rebel can escape.
As the dragoons deal with Indonesian Jacobins, the mainland revolt is over and done with.
Indian lands are still under siege while our troops are still organizing.
Improved social reforms ensure a larger population and a calmer population.
Seeing as how the revolt was so massive and after the tariff decrease, tariffs are reset to maximum.
wow look at these cool farmers and their money...
The red tide is to be purged!
A new army group is to be reorganized.
Our population is in a three-way. The conservatives vs. the socialists vs. the liberals. Bulgaria is surprisingly fascist.
And France is surprisingly socialist. It would be a shame if another power invaded, since they are pacifist.
Pakistan, after letting our troops cross through their lands, decide to propose an official alliance. We accept.
AND TREMBLE BEFORE JAPAN! WE HAVE DONE THE UNTHINKABLE!
We have Japanized Korea!
Now do Vietnam!
Mexico has helped us greatly in the past, so it would be best if they could use our technology. A major investment is sent their way.
China still exists, so we should fix that.
Manchuria will most likely never be completely ours.
The Cairo army group is given orders to patrol Egypt and is given a new name.
mmm
Thats alot of angry chinese ppl
There we go.
The subsidies for our empire are extended.
The Imperial Standard is one man off.
But not for long.
Several new armies are created from the 9th.
The Persian Garrison is given new orders to guard the Russian border.
The crushing victories of the Japanese armies replace the horrible incident.
Sanctions sitll affect us, but most importantly, we no longer have to worry about our people not wanting to go to war.
Germany is stronger than you
And China is weaker than almost everybody.
Something looks a little off, likes its not quite right...
That's better!
