Civ Hybrid Games Mk. IX - Part 2

What’s up my dudes? I slept through the last lot of narration but I’m awake now and I’ll contribute. Welcome to part 2 of CHG, in which we look for maximum salt. Looking here, we see that taqn didn’t believe me when I said that the anglo saxons weren’t going to attack him. Most egregiously, he invested his Great General in a plot to promote his “”””””LEGIONS””””” Canterbury isn’t going to last to this sort of treachery.

Now for the good front. Fortress Gaul stands. I love my citadels. Hopefully I don’t lose all my shit. Western Frankia is in flames at the Anglo-Saxons come in for the patented spitroast.

Randy thinks he can rebel with 2 handaxes. It’d be interesting if he takes it, but i don’t think he will. Amorica will continue to taste the sweet nectar of civilisation.

That’s a lot of Visigothic troops. The Suebi are going to be in for a tough fight. .

This is the West Roman event. The pirates take a stab at the Roman fleet! They probably won’t last though.

The Romans haven’t landed in Africa, the Vandals absolutely toasted them. Cartenna has flipped to the Mauro-Romans though, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens there.

Here we see two irrelevant CSs fight each other. I think Lucky will do well, but at the very least, one CS will win and one CS will lose. (this is actually a very similar line as what I had written for the rerun part, so I’m leaving it here) Here we also see the traitorous Gepid General.

It’s cute to see the Rugii and the Ostrogeats settling. I wish them well.

The Alans seem to be enjoying themselves. I’m not sure what they’re doing though.

Oh yeah, Byz and Persia are fighting. I think Byz will take this city and then not do a lot. It’ll be interesting though.

Aksum is off and settling, as most tiny civs are tending to. I wonder if they’ll get swole.

The front is pushing in favour of Gaul, not sure if it’ll go farther though.

The Visigoths are making an excellent go of eating up the Suebi. I think this will be an easy war for them.

Cartenna has taken some serious damage, it might fall.

Byzantine positioning is weird, but they seem set to push back the Persian menace.

OH NO. RANGED UNITS HAVE KILLED MY BOYS. THINGS DON’T LOOK GOOD.

One Suebi city down. Only 4? More to go.

Cartenna falls, mostly unsurprisingly.

The Ostrogoths use a little thing called “production” to show those Gepids what-for!

Peroz might actually fall. This is bad news, because then it’s only a short stroll to Ctesiphon.

MY CITADELS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Though, it looks like the Franks are mostly distracted. RIP Canterbury though.

The Visigoths are actually giving it a serious go. I really don’t like the chances of the Suebi.

Peroz falls! The Persians mount a defence of their capital!

Canterbury falls to Taqn, which kills the Anglo GG. This is two GGs that have died at taqn’s hands. Q.Q

Cartenna stays firmly in Vandal hands, but the Mauro Romans have a GG! The count increases.

While some Ostrogeat cities are taking damage, Lucky’s army has been hit hard. I’m not sure the Gepids will make any ground today. .

The Visigoths haven’t taken many cities, but I still fully expect them to.

The Persians are pushing back. They might actually hold the city, despite it currently being in Byzantine hands.

My assessment appears to be correct.

The persians are off sailing somewhere.

And while they’re off sailing, the Romans push back by finding troops from somewhere.

The Roman navy has actually attempted an AI naval invasion. I can see this going nowhere.

The Mauro-Romans have been firmly repulsed.

MY CITADELS KEEP BEING PILLAGED. AAAAAAAA The cavalry is set to arrive.

This is just funny at this point.

Oh hey, here comes the Roman navy.

The Ostrogeats are pretty safe at this point.

There are only so many ways I can describe a city flipping back and forth.

They’re making progress! Which is less than can be said for the Persians and Romans.

Core and Stats: Well that was a wild ride, but it’s all cores and stats from here so I’m going to bail. Final GG count is 9, but there’s likely going to be more of them floating around.
